Don’t forget our annual Love Your Valley festival, our biggest fundraising event for the Concert Series. This year, it will take place on May 13th!
***NOTE: Due to issues that have cropped up as our crowds have gotten bigger & bigger, starting in 2017 we will no longer allow dogs at the concerts. We’re sorry that it has to come to this, but the health, safety & hygiene of our audience is of primary importance.***
***NOTE #2: We’d like to remind everyone that the park is licensed with the State of Colorado for alcohol sales through a special event license for these shows. State law does not allow the possession of alcohol not sold under this license during these events. The possession and consumption of alcohol not purchased at the event, is not allowed in the park.***
***NOTE #3: Another big change is afoot with the Series this year. For the first time since anyone can remember, the “After-Dark” shows will no longer be happening at the Sherbino. Instead, the openers will do a longer set, and the entire night will likely run a little later (though we will always attempt to comply with an informal 10 pm curfew). The Sherbino has agreed to take over the libations concession, so we mutually agreed that the late-night shows would have to go as a result. We’re excited about the new arrangement, especially the fact that our openers won’t have to stop just when we’re getting our knees warmed up!! Of course, we also hope that some of the other nightlife providers in town will step up to fill the void! We appreciate your patience and understanding with all the changes!***
The Ridgway Concert Series is held every Thursday in July, from 6 till dark, in Town Park, and it’s FREE to attend. For 2017 we’re looking forward to another incredible lineup! There will be eight fantastic bands presented over the course of four Thursday evenings in July. The entire series is free to the public. Events are family-friendly and include a popular children’s activity area for the little ones, chock full of costumes and games to play. Come early and take in the breathtaking views, mountain bike the local trails, soak at the hot springs or play in the river. Expect an evening of fun, engaging and trend-setting music and of course, lots of dancing. Several food vendors will be on hand, cooking up a diverse selection of locally prepared meals. In addition to serving local micro-brews, wine and margaritas are also available. The audience is welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and picnics. Please note, no glass or outside alcohol is allowed in the park. The Ridgway Concert Series is presented by the Town of Ridgway and funded entirely by community sponsors, fundraisers and donations. The on-site merchandise sales also help fund the series. Shows begins at 6pm and run well into the evening, with over three hours of live music.
Radio Broadcast: All four Ridgway concerts are broadcast live on KVNF Community Radio (90.9, 89.1, 88.9 FM) beginning at 7pm, and stream live on the web at www.kvnf.org.
We are excited to announce this year’s Love Your Valley Festival, May 13th! This event is free with micro-brew sampling for $20 per person. All proceeds will be used to fund the Ridgway Concert Series this summer!
